THE PURPOSE OF GOD IN CREATING MAN

We are created by the creator with the sole purpose that, we become mini creators,to recreate from that which He had already created. The creation of man was God's idea to please Himself,for man to worship Him. Therefore,we start to accomplish our purpose of been created when we start to reach to the debt of our minds for ideas or purposes beneficial to the entire human race. The original intention of God for the creation of man is that man becomes a little god under him with lots of powers to accomplish many feats. That's what He meant when He said"let us make man in our own image and likeness ".The awareness of the fact that we bear the image and likeness of the most high God should be our starting point for unlimited wonders. Man has a divine mandate not only to multiply and full the earth,but also to conquer it--- Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and
over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

 Man stoops to conquer out of the ignorance of the position we occupy in the divine domain --We are gods,we should not stoop to be subjugated by the challenges of life,but knowing our divine mandate looking unto Jesus should always stand tall and be victorious .

 Sometimes i start to wonder if it's only th e Oyibos that are of God's image and likeness,given the regularity of the kind of things they recreate continuously. The truth and the good news however is that we are all of God's image and likeness. All we need in Nigerian and Africa is to look till the bottom of our minds for ideas that will benefit everyone and
 translate them to their physical equivalent .

 We are not created to be conquered, we are created to conquer.

 And i have come to the conclusion that,all the woes and cries all over the world are the results of one thing,just one thing;men have decided to do things their ways,we have have slipped from the part that God showed us from the beginning of time to doing things our own ways--Life and peace are only embeded in Christ alone...He's the way,the truth and the life.

Word of the day,"Waterloo"

 Way back in my secondary school days,i became fascinated with the word, "waterloo",because of it's historical antecedence .

Now,let's trace both the dictionary meaning and the etymology of waterloo.

(1)Dictionary meaning; A brutal and final defeat of an individual --It is usually written in phrase,"to meet one's waterloo". Sentence example;the notorious Enugu robber,popularly known as Bado Clifford finally met his waterloo yesterday in a gun duel with the security operatives;meaning that he finally met his defeat or probably  death in the gun battle.

(2)Historical Background; Waterloo is a town  in central Belgium where in 1815 Napoleon Bonaparte  met his final defeat. Napoloen Bornaparte was the first French Consul/emperor who through some strategic political manoeuvring and coup de'etat rose to such a position. He ruled from 1799 (his accession to power marking the historical end of the French revolution), to June 22nd 1815.Before he met his defeat at Waterloo,Napoleon had fought  countless number of wars and defeated a lot of coalition forces and reigned almost throughout the whole Europe,conquering countries like;Austria,Prusia,Egypt,Spain including Russia after which in Aprail 1814 a coalition of Prussian,Russian and Austrians forces defeated Napoloen and was exiled to the Island of Elba .Meanwhile, the veteran/skilled strategist escaped from the island of Elba in February 1815 to rule France again only to be met with another fierce coalition forces that defeated him on the battle Waterloo in June 1815 in the then Belguim.

So,from the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo originated the phrase,"to meet one's waterloo"

IT'S NOW TREKKING VERSUS CYCLING ERA

As if people are now tired of trekking from their various states to Abuja, the Nigerian federal territory  to congratulate our president elect,Mr. Muhammed Buhari and have resulted to the use bicycles to do so..Trust Nigerians,if there are no pecuniary benefits or anticipated benefits attached  to the adventure,non would embark on it apart from the original inventor of this odyssey, who trekked from Lagos to Abuja and wrote  his name in the sands of time to be the first person in the history of Nigeria to have ever done  so.

 Now,the tide is gradually drifting to the use of bicycles. Last couple of weeks i read from Linda Ikeji Blog of some group of riders,who rode from their state to Abuja to congratulate GMB.  Again,the federal capital welcomes yet another rider who rode from Yola to ABJ for GMB's swearing in ceremony.View pix after the cut.

Next week will be me and my friend, Adekunle Maja,trekking from our house to our work place,winks!

A Ghanaian person with both male and female genital features has been captured by the Ghanaian  police force. According to a source,this witch/wizard who could best be described as hermaphrodite was on a mission to remove a certain woman's pregnancy and felt weak after some times of flight, then landed beside a building to rest,but before one bat an eyelid fell into a deep sleep only to wake up the following morning in the mist of a booing crowd who were taking pictures of it amidst hullabaloos.

We gathered that,it was residents within that alerted the police after beholding the unholy sight. A human with a die-hard masculine  face,bootyliciously feminine butts, floppy breasts and a penis,bringing to reality a story that would be better told a fairy tale .

All the attributes of Christ, as God and man, are at our disposal. All the fulness of the Godhead, whatever that marvellous term may comprehend, is ours to make us complete. He cannot endow us with the attributes of Deity; but he has done all that can be done, for he has made even his divine power and Godhead subservient to our salvation. His omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability and infallibility, are all combined for our defence. Arise, believer, and behold the Lord Jesus yoking the whole of his divine Godhead to the chariot of salvation! How vast his grace, how firm his faithfulness, how unswerving his immutability, how infinite his power, how limitless his knowledge! All these are by the Lord Jesus made the pillars of the temple of salvation; and all, without diminution of their infinity, are covenanted to us as our perpetual inheritance. SERIOUS FACT ABOUT LIFE

Over time I’ve discovered there is no absolute finish line for everyone in the race of life. Our tracks are different and our durations are different. The only thing we have in common is the same empire. For instance, one person graduates at age 20 and struggles for another 5 years to get a job, another might graduate at 25 and get a job immediately. One can marry a virgin and wait for the next decade to have the blessings of children, another lady probably after having series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost immediately after marriage. A fellow becomes MD at 38 and dies at 56, another becomes MD @ 55 and lives to 90. What a life? Life is full of twists, turn-ups and downs and many more surprises and disappointments. Life offers each and everyone of us different opportunities and once an opportunity is lost, it’s gone forever except by the grace of God. It is up to each one of us to patiently prepare, wait, recognise and utilise every opportunity. We learn on the way. No one has it all or knows it all. There is a reason why we all don’t fall at the same time, It’s so that when one is down, weak and discouraged; the other who is strong can encourage and lift the other person. God never promises that the road would be easy, but he promised never to leave or forsake us. Although life is complicated, let us learn to go easy on ourselves and trust that God is working it all out for our good (even if it doesn’t make sense now). Whatever trials, challenges or down times we face, all shall pass and in due course, we will be up and strong again to lift up those who may be down around us. NEVER LOOSE HOPE… We all have a story to tell someday…
